This past weekend my parents took me somewhere I’ve never been before: the pool!

I woke up and it was like any regular day at the campground. Then, a surprise! My sis walked through the door! I get so excited when we have visitors and as if that weren’t enough, my family told me that we were taking a ride in the truck! I love riding in the car! This was already turning into the best day ever!

After a very short drive, we got out of the car. There were all these people around…..and a lot of dogs! Where did my parents take me? My parents and sister led me through a gate and what did we see but a big, blue tub of water! I had never seen anything like it! There were dogs swimming around and chasing balls! So many people taking pictures and laughing!

My parents led me to the edge of the water. They told me to get in and normally, I love swimming, but there were so many people and other dogs….I was scared. But finally, after some heavy coaxing, I jumped in!

There were very friendly people in the pool to help me, but as soon as I got in, I wanted out! I just wanted to be next to my family. I had never been around so many dogs before, I was scared! I ran around and sniffed out the area and met some other dogs. I also got in the pool a couple more times.

But after about 30 minutes, I had had enough excitement for one day! My parents could tell that I was tuckered out and took me back to the trailer. I was happy to be back home but it was an adventure I will never forget!
