Where do I start… It has been a stressful road so far. Not that we have not had time to relax, meet new friends and catch up with long lost family, but the process of leaving our friends and family behind, getting used to being around each other all the time, and anything else in between has led to some static to say the least. You really do not know what you are in for until you get on the road, honestly. Both Richard and I read up on things we would need, tips and tricks of others but until you are at a campsite that requires a longer fresh water hose, or the sensors on your black tank gets clogged you really can’t know what to expect.
You would think living in “Betsy” for almost two months would have prepared us… not! Now that is not to say that we did not learn things while being stationary, but when you have to get up every morning, except for those rare occasions when you stay two nights, and pack up to get on the road, you really do not know what it’s like to full-time RV. You look forward to the time you get to the place you are heading or at least to a place where you have a day off of travels. Both our attitudes and moods have been affected. Hey I said if anything I would be honest and there it is, honesty. Have we had arguments along the way, yes… have we felt like turning around and running home with our tails between our legs, of course.
But we persevere, because we know down deep this is what is meant to be, even if there are times each of us questions that point. God has been faithful, He has provided, He has brought us reminders of His strength and who we are relying on, and perhaps this is all part of the process for us to come to the point of solely relying on our Creator and ever present help in times of need. All I know is that we appreciate each one of you who reads my rantings, we appreciate your thoughts, prayers and support every moment of every day. So we go on towards the current goal, Weslaco, Texas. The light shines in the darkness just before the dawn so we just hold on!
More to come and travel on!
