Poison Ivy…. A downfall to camping

I am very careful when it comes to anything that will make me itch, especially the leaves of three! However, I knew that eventually my fortune would run out where the dreaded results of a run in with some kind of poison plant was concerned. Rufus was kind enough to share his adventures with me and I woke up the other day with a nice case of the itchiness. It seems, if it is in the area, I will somehow contract those lovely little blisters that can make the best disciplined person scratch! So, I went to the usual stand by, Calamine lotion.

After a day of trying not to scratch and a constant supply of the pink stuff, I decided to do some research. Pinterest! After a few trials and errors, I found something that worked for me. See below:

1 tablespoon rubbing alcohol

1 tablespoon hydrocortisone cream

1 tablespoon calamine lotion

This worked okay, but not quite good enough. So, to this mixture I added five drops of Tea Tree Oil. Eureka! No more itch!!! I do not know if this will work for others but its worth a try if the itch has hit!
