There seems to be a bit of rain in the air. Should I say a bunch of rain! We ended up at the KOA in Sallisaw Oklahoma. The plan was for one night, but when we awoke it was raining and we decided to take a day off traveling. This said, we lazed around all day, watching a marathon of true crimes programs. I think Rufus was happy to just lay around on the bed all day. So were we! It is nice to see the country from the road but at times it gets very monotonous. Laundry, showers and cooking dinner felt like the normal life for a bit. So, we did not get a chance to dry camp yet.

When we left the campground on Saturday our goal was to find a spot along the way to just dry camp. We pulled into a Walmart where there were a bunch of trucks parked, I chickened out!!! Thank goodness for Marriott Reward Points, we had enough to get a free room at a Springhill Suites in Memphis. Maybe tonight I will be brave enough to do what I have been bugging Richard to do and dry camp somewhere! Only 798 miles from Shenandoah Valley Virginia!
