The Road to Colorado Part 1

June 30, 2018

A week is not a long time, at least this past week seemed to fly past before we knew it. We had time to help our youngest children pack up and hit the road to Boston, see our oldest for a few at his work and spend a bit of time with our oldest daughter. In addition, we took a side trip up to Baltimore to see our youngest son and an old friend as well. In between those adventures, we had a few calls for possible jobs, attended service at a church we used to attend, and to pray for God’s leading. See I told you the week passed quickly, or should I say was full! One call we had was from another KOA in Estes Park Colorado. It was interesting that we should get a call from someplace halfway across the country and that Richard would just take the lead and accept the position.

I say interesting because I have tried on several occasions to get him to okay other jobs offered out west but to no avail. His concerns that it would be too much for the truck and trailer were legit to say the least, but this time God must have been leading. I must admit that on more occasions than I choose to admit, when God speaks to Richard’s heart he listens. Me on the other hand usually bargains or hems and hauls, until He hits me upside the head. Well there you have it. As of Saturday June 30, 2018, at 7:00 am we hit the road, Betsy, Rufus, Richard and myself. Right now, we sit exhausted, in a hotel taking the first day in, who knew there were SOOO many mountains in Virginia and West Virginia! Exhausted, still a bit sad for moving on, but excited to see what God has in store, we move forward towards the goal that God has set for us!

More to come, and travel on!
